During an appearance on “The Jonathan Ross Show”, the 31-year-old British star admitted that she “can’t believe the impact” her appearance is having on fans and was pleasantly surprised by all the compliments. “It feels so lovely. A real full-circle moment after being bullied for my teeth forever. Now people are clapping in an audience,” she said. In a clip from the interview shared on TikTok, she mentioned seeing American orthodontists online analyzing her smile, but they concluded that she doesn’t need any changes.

Aimee’s journey with her teeth has always been personal. She’s been open about her insecurities in the past, especially before her role in “Sex Education” and now “The White Lotus”. In 2020, Aimee told Stylist that she began to feel empowered when British model Georgia May Jagger, known for her own unique smile, became the face of Rimmel London in 2009. “All of a sudden, it went from me being goofy to, ‘Oh, you’re a bit of a model, aren’t you?’ So I want to thank Georgia May Jagger for representing the buck teeth,” Aimee shared.

Curiosity around Aimee’s teeth has been piqued by her debut on “The White Lotus”, where she plays Chelsea opposite Walter Goggins. Despite previously feeling self-conscious, she’s now embraced her natural appearance. Aimee revealed in past interviews that she was always confident when auditioning for theater roles but was “shocked” when she got a callback for television roles, particularly because “everyone has perfect Hollywood teeth” on shows like “Sex Education”.

However, her distinctive smile has been met with positivity. “I’ve received hundreds of messages from fans,” Aimee said. “People going, ‘Oh my god, you’ve got teeth like mine. Now I go to school and people think I’m cool because I look like Aimee.’” Instead of feeling like an outsider, she now feels celebrated.
Her natural teeth and confidence in them have become a symbol of authenticity, resonating with many fans who admire her for embracing her unique smile. Aimee’s story reflects a broader cultural shift toward celebrating individuality over perfection.
“The White Lotus” airs new episodes on Sundays on HBO and streams on Max, with Aimee continuing to captivate audiences with her dry humor and standout performance.
