“Alien: Earth” Set for August Premiere on FX on Hulu — First Look Released

The “Alien” franchise is gearing up for its next terrifying evolution. FX has unveiled the first official look at Noah Hawley’s upcoming sci-fi series “Alien: Earth”, offering fans a glimpse into the dystopian future awaiting humanity. The highly anticipated eight-episode series will premiere on Tuesday, August 12 at 8 p.m. ET, launching with a two-episode debut on FX and Hulu in the U.S., and streaming globally on Disney+. New episodes will continue to roll out every Tuesday.

“Alien: Earth” – The Future of Earth Is Corporate and Inhuman
Set in the year 2120, “Alien: Earth” explores a world where five mega-corporations — Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold — govern nearly every aspect of human life. In this new era, the line between man and machine has vanished: cyborgs (humans enhanced with mechanical components) and synthetics (AI-driven humanoid robots) coexist with natural-born humans.
But the race toward technological immortality reaches a breaking point when Prodigy Corporation creates a revolutionary new life form — the hybrid, a synthetic body infused with a living human consciousness. The first of her kind, Wendy (played by Sydney Chandler), represents the next step in humanity’s evolution. Or perhaps its end.

The story ignites when a deep-space research vessel, the USCSS Maginot, crashes into Prodigy City, unleashing chaos — and something far more dangerous. As described in the show’s official synopsis:
“When a space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s biggest threat.”
The threat in question? A new breed of alien monsters — five different kinds, according to early production details — that promise to expand the franchise’s already legendary horror legacy.

“Alien: Earth” – An Ensemble Cast and Acclaimed Creative Team
In addition to Chandler, the ensemble cast includes Timothy Olyphant (Kirsh), Alex Lawther (Hermit), Samuel Blenkin (Boy Kavalier), Babou Ceesay (Morrow), Adrian Edmondson (Atom Eins), David Rysdahl (Arthur Sylvia), Essie Davis (Dame Sylvia), Lily Newmark (Nibs), Erana James (Curly), Adarsh Gourav (Slightly), Jonathan Ajayi (Smee), Kit Young (Tootles), Diêm Camille (Siberian), Moe Bar-El (Rashidi), and Sandra Yi Sencindiver (Yutani).

The series is created for television by Noah Hawley, known for genre-bending hits like “Fargo” and “Legion”. Hawley also executive produces alongside Alien franchise legend Ridley Scott, with David W. Zucker, Joseph Iberti, Dana Gonzales, and Clayton Krueger also serving as executive producers. The show is produced by FX Productions.

With a rich new setting, high-stakes horror, and fresh lore that bridges corporate greed and alien terror, “Alien: Earth” looks to be a bold new entry in one of sci-fi’s most enduring franchises.
