Prime Video just dropped a radioactive bombshell at gamescom: the first teaser trailer for Fallout Season 2 is here — and it’s as wild, weird, and wasteland-y as fans could hope for.

Premiering during the Opening Night Live global livestream in front of over 5,000 attendees, the trailer gave fans their first look at the new season, which will officially premiere on December 17, 2025, with one new episode rolling out weekly until the season finale on February 4, 2026.

And yes, Deathclaws are coming.

Welcome to the Mojave

Following the explosive finale of Season One, the new season promises to raise the stakes as the story journeys through the desolate beauty of the Mojave Wasteland to the glimmering, irradiated remains of New Vegas — a location that will be instantly familiar to fans of Fallout: New Vegas, one of the most beloved games in the franchise.

Returning series stars Ella Purnell (Lucy), Aaron Moten (Maximus), and Walton Goggins (The Ghoul) all appear in the teaser, alongside newcomer Justin Theroux as Robert House, a fan-favorite character from the games. For the uninitiated, House is the billionaire-turned-transhuman leader of New Vegas — and judging by the trailer, Theroux is giving him a sinister, charismatic edge.

Deathclaws, Vaults, and Vegas Nights

The teaser trailer (available now on Prime Video’s official channels) doesn’t hold back. It’s got everything: decaying casinos, mutant mayhem, retro-futuristic weaponry, a towering Deathclaw ripping through the ruins — and of course, the bleakly hilarious tone that made Season One such a standout.

During the panel, executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and stars Purnell and Moten teased what’s ahead for their characters — including new alliances, moral compromises, and twisted truths buried in the sand. According to Nolan, the series will continue to balance its black comedy with emotional depth and “the chaos of a world trying to rebuild itself from ashes.”

Fallout’s Global Fallout

Season One of Fallout became an instant hit, racking up over 100 million viewers worldwide and securing a spot in Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles ever. The series, produced by Kilter Films and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Bethesda Game Studios, proved that adapting a beloved video game franchise isn’t just possible — it can be prestige TV.

With Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner returning as showrunners and executive producers, and Todd Howard and James Altman producing on behalf of Bethesda, the creative team behind the show remains deeply rooted in the original game’s DNA — with enough new twists to keep even the most seasoned vault-dweller guessing.
