Gwyneth Paltrow Weighs in on Meghan Markle’s Lifestyle Branding

Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s new venture into the lifestyle influencer space with her Netflix series “With Love, Meghan”. While Paltrow welcomes Markle’s “attempt” at carving her niche, she hasn’t yet watched the show, despite their shared industry interests.
Gwyneth’s Vanity Fair Profile
In a recent profile with Vanity Fair, Paltrow was asked how she feels about the potential competition from Markle, who is stepping into the wellness space after Paltrow established her multi-million dollar empire, Goop, 17 years ago. Paltrow offered a supportive response, stating, “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle’s Relationship
Despite living in the same Montecito neighborhood, Paltrow has not yet engaged with With Love, Meghan, noting, “I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.” She added humorously, “Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.” Paltrow also expressed her instinct to support women when there’s public “noise” about them, saying, “When there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.”
Markle’s show, which has faced a mixed reception from critics, has already been renewed for a second season by Netflix. “With Love, Meghan” features Markle hosting guests and showcasing her personal flair in the kitchen, with some of her creations including a rainbow fruit display and ladybug crostinis.

Since launching Goop in 2008, Paltrow has turned it into a lifestyle empire valued at $250 million as of 2018, offering a wide range of products from beauty and wellness to fashion, sex toys, and even jade eggs. Despite the controversy surrounding some of Goop’s offerings, Paltrow’s business has solidified her as a leading figure in the wellness world, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
