After Jon Gries’ character made a surprise return in The White Lotus season three, the fan-favorite actress shared her unfiltered reaction and where she hopes the storyline takes him next.
“I hate Greg!” Coolidge declared in an exclusive interview with E! News’ Will Marfuggi. “Greg doesn’t deserve anything good. I hope he gets what he deserves, which is something really brutal.”
Greg’s Sneaky Comeback
The reveal of Greg’s reappearance shocked viewers toward the end of episode one, though this time, he’s under a new alias. Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea, while dodging tension with her boyfriend Rick (Walton Goggins), befriends Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), who casually mentions her boyfriend “Gary.” But fans of the show quickly recognized that “Gary” is, in fact, none other than Greg himself.
Greg’s shady behavior hasn’t gone unnoticed by the characters either. In the latest episode, Tanya’s widower vaguely describes his job as doing “this and that,” prompting Rick—who has his own sketchy dealings—to immediately sense something is off.
Jennifer Coolidge is Hooked on Season 3
While Coolidge has no love for Greg, she remains an avid fan of The White Lotus and is especially intrigued by the season’s new subplots. She’s particularly captivated by the storyline following Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, and Michelle Monaghan’s girls’ trip.
“Mike [White] has so many interesting things going on in these scripts,” she noted. “I just have a bad feeling about so many things. The three girls, how is that gonna go?”
Another plot that has Jennifer on edge? The story surrounding Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger’s characters. “The two brothers,” she mused, “Something bad is gonna go down there, for sure. It’s riveting.”
Jennifer Coolidge’s Next Big Move
Though Tanya McQuoid met a tragic end in season two, Coolidge isn’t quite done with crime-driven narratives. The Legally Blonde alum is set to appear in Riff Raff, a thriller starring Bill Murray and Pete Davidson, which she describes as a “wild ride.”
For fans of The White Lotus, Coolidge insists that Riff Raff will be a must-watch, teasing, “This movie is equally as good as Mike’s White Lotus.”
