“Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan is back, and his latest project, “Pluribus”, is already turning heads. Premiering November 7 on Apple TV+, the new series blends science fiction and mystery with a bizarre twist: the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.
“Pluribus” Premise
Starring “Better Call Saul’s” Rhea Seehorn, “Pluribus” dives into the paradox of happiness, exploring how emotions ripple through society and questioning whether too much joy could actually be dangerous. The tagline? “Happiness is Contagious.”

Gilligan’s signature storytelling style—morally complex characters, genre-bending narratives, and deep psychological themes—shines through in the teaser, which offers just enough eerie weirdness (a prison guard licking donuts, for one) to leave fans both confused and intrigued.
Apple clearly believes in the project, having picked it up in 2022 with a two-season order. And with Comic-Con pop-up events offering sneak peeks and merch, the buzz is only building.

With a strong supporting cast (Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, and Samba Schutte) and Seehorn in the lead, “Pluribus” is shaping up to be Apple TV+’s next big swing—and possibly its weirdest yet.
Mark your calendars for November 7. This one’s going to be strange—in the best way.
