The buzz around “BMF” Season 4 is undeniable—and PopViewers just added fuel to the fire. On Tuesday, July 16, 2025, Downtown Los Angeles lit up with the energy of the culture as PopViewers teamed up with STARZ for a special Vibes & Views screening event at the stylish Soho Warehouse. The night centered around episode 406 of the hit crime drama and brought out a powerful mix of creatives, tastemakers, and entertainment insiders for an evening that celebrated storytelling, community, and cultural impact.

“BMF” Vibes & Views With Russell Hornsby
Guests kicked off the evening with a vibrant cocktail hour, where DJ Asia Shabazz provided the soundtrack to a packed room buzzing with anticipation. The screening that followed featured a pivotal episode that left viewers on edge and reminded everyone why “BMF” continues to dominate the TV conversation.

After the screening, PopViewers Founder & CEO Chris Witherspoon took the stage for a moving and insightful conversation with acclaimed actor Russell Hornsby, who portrays Charles Flenory in “BMF.” Hornsby spoke candidly about the emotional complexity of his character, the significance of portraying a Black father in crisis, and the deeper cultural themes embedded in the series. The conversation struck a chord with the audience, reinforcing the idea that “BMF” is not just about crime—it’s about legacy, family, and the pursuit of power in a system stacked against you.

The event drew a range of notable talent connected to the show and beyond. Among the attendees was Xavier Smalls, actor in “Beauty in Black” and “Madea’s Destination Wedding.” Thembi Banks, director of “Running Point” and “Insecure,” also joined the celebration, along with Heather Zuhlke, the showrunner of “BMF.” Michole Briana White, who stars in “BMF” as Lucille Flenory, added to the star power, as did Jazmen Darnell Brown, the writer behind the very episode that was screened. Felicia Pride, writer and producer on “Bel-Air” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” and creator of Netflix’s upcoming “A Different World” sequel series, brought her creative force to the room, while Zack Morris, actor from “Goosebumps” on Disney+ and the upcoming film “The Bluff” opposite Priyanka Chopra, represented the next generation of rising talent.

Season 4 of “BMF”, which premiered June 6 on STARZ, is its most intense yet. Set in the early 1990s as the Flenory brothers expand their empire in Atlanta, the show dives deeper into the price of power. As the stakes grow higher, so do the risks—from federal agents and dangerous enemies to the tension between Meech and Terry themselves. Emmy-winner Michael Chiklis joins the cast as a relentless DEA agent out to bring the brothers down, and fan-favorite villain Lamar returns with more chaos in tow. Donnell Rawlings is also back, bringing some much-needed comic relief as Alvin in the midst of the mayhem.
Executive produced by 50 Cent and created by Detroit’s own Randy Huggins, “BMF” continues to blur the lines between gritty street drama and cultural chronicle. With sharp writing, cinematic visuals, and emotionally charged performances, the show explores not just the rise of a drug empire but the foundation of hip-hop, entrepreneurship, and survival in Black America. Every episode peels back another layer of what it means to chase the American Dream—when the system never meant for you to win.

Earlier this season, PopViewers also brought the energy to New York with another Vibes & Views event featuring BMF star La La Anthony. That gathering, like this one in L.A., was a celebration of the artistry and authenticity that has made BMF such a force in television today.
New episodes of “BMF” drop every Friday on STARZ, with the season finale set for August 15. The saga of Meech and Terry is far from over.
