Paramount+ is expanding the world of “Tulsa King” with a brand-new spinoff: “NOLA King“. Leading the charge? None other than screen legend Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., a man with a dark past and a shot at redemption.

“Nola King” Spinoff with Samuel L. Jackson
Tulsa King fans will first meet Washington in the show’s upcoming third season this September. His character, fresh off a decade-long prison sentence, is sent by a New York crime family to take out Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. But instead of pulling the trigger, Washington is inspired by Dwight’s second-chance journey and returns to his hometown of New Orleans—ready to confront his past and forge a new path.

Set to begin filming in early 2026, “NOLA King” explores themes of loyalty, redemption, and family, while diving into New Orleans’ gritty underworld. Jackson brings his signature intensity to the role, supported by a powerhouse team including “Yellowstone’s” Taylor Sheridan, Stallone, and Jackson himself as executive producers.

Sheridan has described the series as a family-driven mob story with emotional depth—designed to attract both fans of Tulsa King and newcomers alike. With social media buzz already building and a franchise blueprint in the works, “NOLA King” could be just the beginning of an even larger universe.
As Jackson steps into the spotlight, expect a drama packed with heart, grit, and unforgettable characters.
