Netflix & BBC Unveil First Look at “The Bombing of Pan Am 103” – A Gripping New Drama on the Lockerbie Tragedy

On December 21, 1988, the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which was en route from London to New York, devastated the world. The attack, which killed 270 people over Lockerbie, Scotland, sparked a global investigation and left a lasting impact on the victims’ families and the world at large.

Now, Netflix and the BBC are bringing this heartbreaking chapter in history to life with “The Bombing of Pan Am 103”, a six-part series that explores the untold story of the investigation into the tragedy. Starring “Suits” actor Patrick J. Adams, the show tracks the complex investigation into the bombing, which ultimately leads to this year’s trial of Abu Agila Masud, the man accused of building the bomb. The series also reflects on the conviction of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the only person found guilty in connection with the bombing.

Written by Jonathan Lee (“High Dive”) and Scottish screenwriter Gillian Roger Park, the drama is directed by Michael Keillor and dives into the international efforts to uncover the truth behind the bombing. “The Bombing of Pan Am 103” offers an in-depth look at the painstaking investigation and the pursuit of justice for the victims.
