“The Paper”: A New Setting, Same Style

This time, the documentary crew that once followed Dunder Mifflin heads to Toledo, Ohio, where they find The Truth Teller, a struggling local newspaper. The story centers on a passionate publisher trying to bring the paper back to life and all the chaos that comes with it.

Leading the show is Domhnall Gleeson as an eager new hire, alongside Sabrina Impacciatore as the tough-as-nails managing editor. Familiar face Oscar Nuñez (Oscar from “The Office) returns, joined by Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key.

Expect fun guest appearances from Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim, and Eric Rahill, among others. Behind the scenes, Greg Daniels (“The Office”) and Michael Koman (“Nathan for You”) steer the ship, with producers like Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, and Ben Silverman onboard.

Why It’s Generating Buzz: “The Paper”

“The Paper” blends heart and humor, tackling themes like community, resilience, and the role of journalism today—all with the quirky, fourth-wall-breaking charm fans expect. With a powerhouse cast, top-notch writers and directors, and a nostalgic yet fresh premise, it could be the next workplace comedy hit.

If you loved “The Office”, “The Paper” deserves a spot on your watchlist. Catch it starting September 4.
