Just in time for the Season 3 premiere of “The Summer I Turned Pretty“, IMDb sat down with stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno — and the cast is serving up teases that fans won’t want to miss.
In a playful new segment titled “That’s My Line,” the trio reflects on the most iconic quotes from past seasons, breaks down the scenes that made them crack up on set, and hints at some major emotional moments coming in the show’s final chapter.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3 Tease
When asked to describe the upcoming season in one word, their responses couldn’t be more telling:
Lola Tung (Belly): “Epic”
Christopher Briney (Conrad): “Dope”
Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah): “Dramatic”
And it sounds like drama is front and center. While the cast stayed tight-lipped on spoilers, they did hint that Season 3 delivers some unforgettable one-liners — especially for book fans.
“There are a lot of iconic lines,” Briney teased. “There are a few book moments.”
Casalegno agreed: “I think it’s going to be one of the book moments, for sure.”
The actors also shared one of their favorite behind-the-scenes memories from Season 1 — the infamous bonfire scene.
“We just couldn’t stop,” Tung said, laughing. “Chris has a very specific way [of saying Belly’s name]. It’s very endearing and charming.”
Briney added, “Conrad says just the line ‘Belly’ like 90 times… and there was something about the way I was saying it, it just became a bit.”
What to Expect in “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3
This season picks up two years after the events of Season 2. Belly and Jeremiah are in love — and engaged — but their seemingly perfect future is shaken when Conrad shows up back at the beach house after time away in California. Once again, Belly finds herself torn between the two brothers as she prepares to make the hardest decision of her life — and finally choose between them.

Amazon’s hit adaptation of Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy returns with an extended 11-episode run, starting with two new episodes on July 16, followed by weekly Wednesday drops until the series finale on September 17.

In earlier interviews, Han promised that fans should expect the unexpected. “There are the things that they know and then there are things they think they know, and then there’s going to be, hopefully, things that surprise them,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
As fans return to Cousins Beach for one final summer, the countdown is on to see where Belly’s heart truly lies — and whose it breaks in the process. Stream “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 3 starting July 16 on Prime Video.
