“Too Much” Premise

“Too Much” follows Jessica (played by “Hacks” breakout Meg Stalter), a 30-something New Yorker reeling from heartbreak and burnout. After a messy breakup and a trail of emotional wreckage in NYC, she flees to London, hoping to live a quiet life “like a Brontë sister.”

But solitude doesn’t last long. Enter Felix (played by Will Sharpe, “The White Lotus”)—a charismatic, chaotic Brit whose presence disrupts Jessica’s plans for peace. As their intense and unconventional relationship unfolds, they must ask: Can love survive cultural clashes, emotional baggage, and impulsive chaos?

Netflix recently released the first trailer for “Too Much”, offering a chaotic and darkly funny glimpse into Jessica’s unraveling as she attempts to rebuild her life overseas. The trailer kicks off with Jessica (Meg Stalter) dramatically breaking into the home of her ex-boyfriend (Michael Zegen) and his new girlfriend (Emily Ratajkowski), shouting, “Leaving me is the worst thing anyone’s ever done,” before smashing a window to gain entry.

Later, when she confides in Felix (Will Sharpe) about her breakup, he casually offers to “murder” her ex, to which she deadpans, “Yeah. I want you to cut their heads off and sew them back on.” The trailer unfolds as a whirlwind of romantic tension, cultural misunderstandings, and brutally honest one-liners, set against the moody backdrop of London. Adding to the emotional chaos are scenes of heated arguments, drunken dancing, and awkward first dates, hinting at a series that’s as emotionally raw as it is bitingly humorous.
