Watch: Travis Kelce’s Exciting TV Hosting Debut in ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’
Travis Kelce is making his hosting debut in the new Amazon Prime Video game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” This is a spinoff of the successful “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” which ran until 2009. The streamer released a trailer showing the Kansas City Chiefs tight end displaying his charisma, hosting skills, and cracking jokes with contestants.
Celebrities featured in the first season of the new game show include comedians Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, Nikki Glaser, and Ron Funches. Other stars include reality television personalities like “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais and “Vanderpump Rules” star Lala Kent. Additional names include former NFL star Chad Ochocinco, comedian and late-night host Lilly Singh, football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick, and podcaster Sophia Stallone.
Each episode will bring on a contestant who relies on a classroom of celebrities to help them answer 11 questions pulled from middle school and elementary lessons in an effort to win one hundred thousand dollars.
This show follows “Grotesquerie,” which features Travis Kelce in his acting debut. The Ryan Murphy series is a murder mystery with horror elements. Kelce’s role is undisclosed, but he is expected to make his first appearance in the series in the third episode, which airs tomorrow evening on FX. Kelce’s star has risen in Hollywood over the last several years through hosting SNL, dating Taylor Swift, and having many projects in development. He was most recently announced to appear in the “Happy Gilmore” sequel alongside Adam Sandler. It is clear that Kelce is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood, and we cannot wait to see what he does next.
“Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” will premiere with three episodes on Wednesday, October 16, on Amazon Prime Video. This will be followed by one new episode dropping every Wednesday. The series has 20 episodes ordered for the first season and is part of Prime Video’s Winning Wednesdays lineup, which features other game shows such as “Pop Culture Jeopardy,” “Buy It Now,” and “Wish List Games.”
