What to Watch This Weekend

Fun fact- if you say "What should I watch" five times in front of the mirror, the PopViewers app automatically opens up on your phone! (Okay... so we're still working on that technology.) But have no fear, we've got you covered anyway! Here's all that's poppin' this weekend!

Candyman

Watch in Theaters

He’s a sweet talkin’, sugar coated, candyman! The long awaited Jordan Peele-produced reimagining of Candyman is here. Fans of the past incarnations of this story will recognize some familiar touch-points- like the long hook coming out of Candyman’s arm stump and lots of bees. But otherwise, audiences can expect a movie with the fresh sheen and social relevance of all of Peele’s recent projects. The legend is real alright- just don’t expect to sleep after this one.

The Other Two (Season 2)

Watch on HBO Max

Chase Dreams stans make some noise! The searing showbiz satire is back for Season 2 with plenty more laughs in store! This season finds Pat (played by the always brilliant Molly Shannon) hosting a wildly popular daytime talk show as her children continue to try their best to navigate through their respective careers in entertainment. This show is chock-full of inside jokes, but don’t feel like you have to be an entertainment insider to appreciate it! This is as much a family comedy with heart as it is a statement on celebrity.

American Horror Story: Double Feature

Watch on FX

True to its title, this season of American Horror Story will feature two distinct storylines. And while there is a common theme of sand, the settings for both stories are quite different. The first part of the season is set by the ocean in Provincetown, while the second is set somewhere in a desert. Expect aliens, vampires, and sleepless nights.
