Deal us in! This unfiltered comedy series starring Sam Jay, Chris Redd, Jak Knight, and Langston Kerman follows four friends who all work together at a casino in Indiana as they navigate their jobs and lives. It follows the framework of your traditional workplace sitcom, but don’t come in expecting “The Office.” This is a raunchy, raw, crude, and wild ride that is bound to alienate some viewers while enthralling others with its biting social commentary.
In this limited series, Samuel L. Jackson plays a 91-year-old man falling into dementia who uses experimental medicine to experience stretches of lucidity during which he searches for the killer of his nephew. He’s helped by his new caretaker played by Dominique Fishback. Part murder mystery, part history lesson on the racist South, and part meditation on dementia, this wide-ranging series is anchored by an incredible performance by Jackson.
Mei Lee is a confident, boy band-obsessed, 13-year-old girl who just happens to turn into a big red panda every time she gets too excited. (It’s not quite a spoiler to reveal that the entire movie is a metaphor for puberty.) As is typical with a Pixar movie, the story is told with great finesse and should prove to be entertaining for children, adults, and even those perennial picky audience members currently going through puberty alike!
Oscar-winner, Renée Zellweger appearing on a network television show in a “fat suit” and prosthetic makeup? Regardless of the quality of the show, this is cause for attention. Zellweger plays Pam, a middle-aged Midwestern woman arrested for the murder of her best friend. (The show is based on a real-life murder case that was the subject of a “Dateline” episode.) We can’t wait to watch how she works her way out of this one.
Thanks to Ryan Murphy, Andy Warhol is getting another 395 minutes of fame. This six-part series paints a portrait of the legendary artist through Warhol’s own posthumously published diaries. Not only does the series use his own words- it’s actually narrated by an AI Andy Warhol through a digital reproduction of his voice.
Ryan Reynolds stars in this sci-fi film as a time-traveler who lands in 2022 and teams up with his younger self to try to save the future. So you’re telling us it’s not too late yet, Ryan?!?
Everyone’s favorite game of outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting, is back for its 42nd season. Expect alliances, twists, and presumably a bunch of attractive people trying to start a fire.
