Bob Odenkirk is back as Hutch Mansell, father, husband, and lethal assassin, in “Nobody 2”. This time, Mansell and his wife Becca, played by Connie Nielsen take their kids on what’s supposed to be a relaxing vacation. They unknowingly find themselves on an old bootlegging route full of drugs and crooked cops, leaving Mansell with no choice but to take matters into his own hands.

The action packed thriller also stars Sharon Stone, Colin Hanks, Gage Munroe, Paisley Cadorath, and RZA.

If you loved “Nobody” and you’re into family getaways that go completely off the rails, “Nobody 2” is a must-see, only in theaters Friday, Aug. 15.

2) “F1” (Watch in Theaters)

Brad Pitt’s “F1” is speeding back into IMAX theaters Friday, Aug. 15, after becoming his biggest box office hit yet, raking in over $552 million worldwide, according to AppleTV+.

The adrenaline pumping film follows Pitt as he plays Sonny Hayes, a veteran race car driver who returns to the track after a tragic injury in the ’90s. Now working as a driver-for-hire, he joins forces with a struggling Formula 1 team and gets back in the fast lane. The cast also includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and more.

Whether you missed it the first time or just want another lap, “F1” races back into theaters Aug. 15.

3) “Night Always Comes” (Watch on Netflix)

Based on the 2021 novel, “Night Always Comes”, Emmy and Oscar nominee Vanessa Kirby takes on the role as Lynette. A woman fighting her way through one dangerous night to scrape together $25,000, avoid eviction, and secure a home for her family.

The all-star cast includes Julia Fox, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Zack Gottsagen, Stephan James, Eli Roth, Randall Park, and Michael Kelly.

It’s a gripping drama about survival, determination, and sacrifice. “Night Always Comes” starts streaming on Netflix Friday, Aug. 15.

4) “Alien: Earth” (Watch on Hulu)

“Alien: Earth” is a prequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic Alien, set two years before the events of the original in 2120.

The series follows Sydney Chandler as Wendy, the world’s first hybrid, a humanoid robot with human consciousness. When a mysterious spaceship packed with strange creatures crashes on Earth, Wendy teams up with a group of soldiers and makes a discovery that changes everything.

NPR is already calling this scifi horror show, “One of the best shows so far this year.” Expect new creatures, including cyborgs and AI-powered humanoids living alongside humans.

The cast also features Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, and more.
The first two episodes premiered Aug. 12 on FX and are now streaming on Hulu, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday through Sept. 23.

5) “Butterfly” (Watch on Prime Video)

Prime Video’s “Butterfly” brings the BOOM! Studios graphic novel to life. The six episode series follows Daniel Dae Kim, as David Jung, a former U.S. intelligence operative who faked his death to live under the radar. When he learns his daughter Rebecca, played by Reina Hardesty, is in town, he can’t resist trying to reconnect. Only to find out she’s now an agent for the same spy organization run by his former partner.

Alongside Dae Kim and Hardesty are Piper Perabo, Louis Landau, Kim Ji-hoon, Park Hae-soo, Kim Tae-hee, Charles Parnell, Sean Dulake, and Nayoon Kim.

“Butterfly” is packed with family drama, betrayal, and plenty of spy action. All six episodes are streaming now on Prime Video.
