From Marvel’s retro-style reboot of “The Fantasticf Four” to Adam Sandler’s nostalgic return in “Happy Gilmore 2,” the lineup is full of big names and binge-worthy drama. Here’s what to watch this week.
1) “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (Watch in Theaters)
Marvel’s “Fantastic Four: First Steps” officially hits theatres today, re-introducing one of the most iconic superhero teams in comic book history. The film follows Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm as they trek through space in the 1960’s to defend Earth against Galactus and Silver Surfer.
The star studded cast — Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, bring new life to Marvel’s superhero family. The new film is set against a ’60s, retro-styled world of flying cars and household robots. According to Entertainment Weekly, director, Matt Shakman, describes the film’s style as “Where Kirby meets Kubrick,” with the original Fantastic Four comics and 2001: A Space Odyssey as the major visual reference points.”
Despite the new time period and cast, the movie is still action packed, highlighting the team’s journey as they navigate their lives, heart-felt bonds, and efforts to save the world.

2) “Happy Gilmore 2” (Watch On Netflix)
“Happy Gilmore” returns with a sequel almost 30 years later. Starring Adam Sandler, “Happy Gilmore 2” follows Happy, a retired golfer, as he tries to raise $30,000 to send his daughter to a prestigious dance school.
Filled with nostalgia and surprise cameos, the sequel is one fans will love. Sandler isn’t the only familiar face. Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald, and pro golfer John Daly, all reprise their roles.
Joining the cast this time are new cast members including Latin music artist Bad Bunny and Sandler’s real life daughters, Sadie and Sunny. You’ll also see celebrity cameos from Eric Andre, Eminem, and even Reggie Bush.
Happy Gilmore 2 drops today, July 25, and is streaming exclusively on Netflix.

3) “Washington Black” (Watch On Hulu)
Sterling K. Brown stars in a new Hulu mini series, “Washington Black.” Based on the bestselling novel, the story takes place during the transatlantic slave era. Hulu’s latest book adaptation follows George “Wash” Washington, an 11-year-old Barbados native, who is forced to flee after a tragic event turns his life upside down.
Join Wash on his adventurous journey as the series mixes history with emotion, as the young boy chases freedom and love. This 8 part series debuted on Wednesday, July 23, and is available for streaming on Hulu.

4) “The Hunting Wives” (Watch on Netflix)
May Cobb’s best selling novel, “The Hunting Wives,” is now an 8 episode Netflix series. Expect serving drama, scandal, and murder in all the best ways. The eight-episode thriller stars Malin Åkerman, Brittany Snow, Dermot Mulroney, and Chrissy Metz. The series follows a woman from Boston as she moves to Texas. Her life is then transformed as she befriends a group of housewives and is consumed by a mystery murder.
Even if you’ve read the book, the show is still worth the binge. Time Magazine called it a “Bonkers, bisexual culture-war soap,” and People confirms that the Netflix adaptation has a completely different ending than the original novel.

The iconic game show will continue to feature panelists attempting to match celebrities’ answers as they “fill-in-the-blanks” for a shot at $25,000. Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne and Ziwe, are just a few stars featured in the new revival of “Match Game.”
“Match Game” airs on ABC, but can also be streamed online on Hulu the day after airing on ABC.
