Origin:
Directed by Ava DuVernay, “Origin” is based on the book “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents” by Isabel Wilkerson, and recently made its theatrical debut. “Origin” dissects the roots of racism and inequality in America, and around the world. Starring the incredible Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Niecy Nash, it’s truly a must-see for everyone!
The Book of Clarence:
A Biblical comedy-drama, “The Book of Clarence” tells the story of a struggling Clarence who claims to be a messiah sent by God, in order to prove himself worthy. Starring Lakeith Stanfield, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, and David Oyelowo, “The Book of Clarence” has gotten mixed reviews but is worth a watch.
Bob Marley: One Love:
The highly anticipated Bob Marley biopic celebrates the life and rise to fame of the world’s most famous reggae musician. Kingsley Ben-Adir plays Bob Marley himself, accompanied by Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley. This is one movie you won’t want to miss this Valentine’s Day.

“Genius” is a series that follows the lives of different historical icons, and the latest season spotlights none other than Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X. It focuses on their upbringings and the moments that shaped the men they became. Produced by Reggie Rock Bythwood and Gina Prince Bythewood, catch this show on Disney Plus and National Geographic.
