I’m losing my mind at this image of Brian Cox Rollerblading

Even Logan Roy is ready for summer!

There are some actors that are so unbelievably good at what they do, that when you see them doing something else for the first time since their performance, it’s truly a shock to the senses. The last time I saw distinguished actor Brian Cox he was screaming “BOAR ON THE FLOOR,” while his family ran around humiliated, oinking and crawling on wood paneling.

So you can IMAGINE my surprise upon seeing this absolutely delightful photo of a smiling Brian Cox rollerblading alongside a sunny California beach, wearing a coral pink suit and serving Summer of Barbie.

This photo should be hung in the louvre. It should have its own billboard in Times Square. But mostly this needs to be on my vision board. This is exactly how i’m trying to be this summer.  No thoughts. No emails. Just Brian Cox on roller skates. I’ll have what he’s having.

So where did this majestic photo come from? No, it’s not from his latest Max film “The Parenting,” which he stars in opposite Edie Falco. For this photo shoot, Brian Cox stuns in a collab with Malibu Rum, promoting cold drinks and sunny vibes for their summer campaign.

“Contrary to the characters I play, I’m all about celebrating the enjoyment of life and taking time off for the people and things that matter. In some roles I was consumed by work, control, and power, and never knew when to clock off,” Brian Cox said. “But the reality is, we all need to disconnect if we want to enjoy what life has to offer. The ‘Do Whatever Tastes Good’ campaign by Malibu is about reminding people that their free time is sacred and should be enjoyed, and this is a message I support.”

This is a far cry from him saying “I’m going to grind his f**king bones to make my bread,” in season 3.

Here’s the thing about celebrity alcohol campaigns. Sometimes they feel random. This is not one of those times. Brian Cox is rollerskating and I am fully on board. I understand his recipe, and I can taste this drink.

So here’s the thing. If you that that photo was good, the video version is even better. It starts off with Cox in the boardroom, sitting at the head of a table full of blue suits – standing apart in his bright getup. He finally decides “enough!” and hobbles away on roller skates, before skating down the street, smiling, laughing, and shaking booty to the 90’s hit “Steal My Sunshine.” No Notes.
