Colman had an exclusive interview with Netflix’s Tdum before the series premieres next month. He said that “Everything about this conspiracy thriller excited me. It was a unique protagonist, one that I had never seen or experienced. Someone who has very centrist beliefs, and now they’re being thrust into the world to really hard-core believe in something and to reexamine the people that they believed were possible enemies. You realize you have more in common with them than you thought you had in the beginning. I think it says a lot about who we are now and what we’re willing to do, and also to look at who’s really pulling the strings and for whose benefit.”

While Colman Domingo is undoubtedly the star of the show, “The Madness” is packed with a lineup of accomplished actors. Emmy nominee Marsha Stephanie Blake stars alongside Domingo. Gabrielle Graham, John Ortiz, Tamsin Topolski, and TJ Mixson are also joining the ensemble.

Deon Cole, Hamish Allan-Headley, Ennis Esmer, Alison Wright, Bradley Whitford, and Stephen McKinley Henderson are all set to make appearances. It’s like a who’s who of Hollywood decided to crash this political thriller party!

What a new exciting role for Colman! The Academy Award nominee has had a hot few last years. He received a mainstream breakout for his guest starring role in “Euphoria” that won him an Emmy award. He then starred in “Rustin” the biopic that explores Bayard Rustin, a key figure in the civil rights movement and the organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. The film explores Rustin’s activism, his struggles as a gay Black man in a time of widespread discrimination, and his pivotal role in advocating for social justice and equality. “Rustin” was produced by the Obamas and Colman received his first Academy Award nomination.

He next stars in “Sing Sing” that has generated major award buzz. The movie is a heartfelt drama featuring Colman Domingo as a young man in a correctional facility who discovers hope and purpose through a theater program. The film explores themes of redemption and the transformative power of art, highlighting the bonds formed among inmates as they work together on a production. Domingo’s powerful performance has garnered significant Oscar buzz, with critics praising his ability to convey deep emotion and resilience. The story is both uplifting and poignant, showcasing the potential for change and connection even in the most challenging environments.
