Hulu’s Onyx Collective is serving up a new comedy, “Deli Boys“, premiering March 6. This wild ride follows two Pakistani-American brothers, Mir and Raj, as they unexpectedly discover their dad’s convenience store empire is actually a front for a drug operation. Thrust into the criminal underworld, they must save their family business, even though they’re totally out of their depth.
“Deli Boys” Premise
The trailer’s got everyone buzzing with excitement. Picture “Breaking Bad” meets “Kim’s Convenience” with a splash of “The Sopranos”. Expect plenty of laughs, high stakes, and a fresh take on the immigrant experience.
The cast is stacked: Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh play the brothers, bringing great comedic chemistry, while Poorna Jagannathan and Brian George add depth and laughs. The show’s been in the works since 2022, but delays due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes mean it’s finally arriving now.
Behind the scenes, Abdullah Saeed created the show, with Michelle Nader running the show as executive producer. Onyx Collective is making sure diverse stories get the spotlight they deserve.
