The Fitbit Ace LTE is the ultimate back-to-school tool this year and the latest must-have gadget from Google is the answer to every parent’s prayers, especially mine. Like so many other kids, my pre-tweens have been begging for a phone since they could talk, but I’m not budging on my boundaries. While I don’t think they’re ready for the all-access pass to the world a smartphone would provide, I have been searching for a solution to stay connected when we’re apart while keeping them safe.

The Fitbit Ace LTE allows my kids to communicate with me, with each other, and with whomever else we pre-select to have access to them via phone or text message. The location features allow me to track my child’s whereabouts in real time, making after-school activities and play dates a lot less stressful.

Durable Design for Active Kids

The sleek design features a protective bumper case that keeps the water resistant, scratch resistant, and rustproof device intact from the classroom to the playground. A full charge takes just over an hour and provides more than 16 hours of battery life. Another fantastic feature is the School Time setting, which allows parents to lock the watch from use when your child should be paying attention instead of playing games.

Fun and Active Gaming with Fitbit Arcade and Bit Valley

Speaking of the games; it’s another area that the Fitbit Ace LTE stands out from the crowd. With access to Fitbit Arcade and Bit Valley, your child will be having fun while staying active with a multitude of games powered by Fitbit.

The easy-to-use device is a breeze from the start, thanks to the customizable “eejie” that allows your child to see themselves in the avatar they create.  Their new pal will guide them through game-filled Starter Quests that teach the basic of this easy-to-use accessory. From there, your little ones can set a Move Goal and earn points throughout the day, with more movement earning more points. If your kid has a friend or sibling with their own Fitbit Ace LTE, they can add each other as friends and keep each other motivated in Bit Valley.

Encouraging Exploration and Physical Activity

With this sturdy, stylish, location-tracking device securely strapped to their tiny wrists, my little ones get a lot more freedom to roam when we’re out exploring.

That’s something they’re much more inclined to do now that their movements are being tracked and they’re getting rewarded for racking up those points. And unlike other devices, the Fitbit Ace LTE tracks more than just steps, making real-life activities like jumping on the bed or a game of hide-and-seek part of the fun.

Unlike other kid watches, there’s no need for a separate wireless plan or SIM card. All you need is an Ace Pass ($9.99/mo.) that includes 4G LTE connectivity, access to Fitbit Arcade and Bit Valley, unlimited calling, messaging, and location features. At $229.95, the Fitbit Ace LTE is an affordable, no-stress way to stay connected with your kids while keeping them entertained and active.
