The deal wasn’t easy. Reports say seven studios and streaming platforms competed, with NBCUniversal ultimately winning a nine-figure bid to claim the Bourne legacy.
Since “The Bourne Identity” in 2002, the series has set a high bar for action and espionage. Universal Pictures President Peter Cramer shared his excitement: “We’re energized to continue expanding the Bourne universe into the future with exciting new stories for global audiences.”
Universal Pictures will work closely with Captivate Entertainment, which manages Ludlum’s estate.
