Tom Holland is returning as Spider-Man, and this time with a new suit!
On Friday, Aug. 1, Marvel and Sony dropped a nine-second teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day across social media. The clip gives a close-up of Holland’s new suit, which features a bright red color with black raised webbing. The video was shared along with the caption, “Something brand new is coming… #SpiderManDay.”
The newly teased suit seems to resemble the costume revealed at the end of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film ended with Holland swinging in New York wearing the classic bright red and blue suit that paid homage to the original comic book costume design.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink from Stranger Things and Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear are also joining the cast.
Though the plot for the upcoming film remains underwraps, the director, Destin Daniel Cretton gave some insight to what fans could expect back in April at CinemaCon. According to Entertainment Weekly, Cretton teased that the film would be an “emotional” story.
“We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Fans will have to wait a year to see it all come together. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theatres on July 31, 2026.
