Kristen Wiig returns to rule (and possibly destroy) Palm Beach’s elite social scene.
It’s almost time to step back into the most exclusive (and deliciously petty) club in Palm Beach. Apple TV+ has just unveiled a first look at the much-anticipated second season of Palm Royale—the Emmy Award-nominated comedy series that stars and is executive produced by Emmy and Academy Award nominee Kristen Wiig, alongside Oscar and Emmy winner Laura Dern.
The 10-episode second season kicks off globally on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with new episodes dropping weekly until January 14, 2026. Time to grab your martinis and monograms—Palm Beach’s favorite outsiders are back.
Catch Up: What Palm Royale Is All About
If you missed the madness of season one, here’s your refresher: Palm Royale is the ultimate underdog tale, following Maxine Dellacorte (Wiig) as she desperately tries to claw her way into the elite circles of 1960s Palm Beach high society. It’s all about fashion, façades, and fighting your way into country clubs that definitely do not want you there.
The show asks a timeless question: How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has? Season one gave us cattiness, couture, and Carol Burnett being iconic—as it should. It also scored 11 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress (Kristen Wiig), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Carol Burnett), ultimately taking home a win for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.
Who’s Who: The Glitzy Cast of Season 1
Season one featured a powerhouse cast that included:
- Kristen Wiig as Maxine Dellacorte
- Laura Dern as Linda
- Allison Janney
- Ricky Martin
- Carol Burnett
- Josh Lucas
- Leslie Bibb
- Amber Chardae Robinson
- Mindy Cohn
- Julia Duffy
- Kaia Gerber
With so many stars in one place, Palm Beach never stood a chance.
What to Expect in Season 2: Maxine 2.0
When we last left Maxine, things had spiraled—fast. After a dramatic and very public meltdown, she’s now a social pariah. But don’t count her out just yet. Season two finds Maxine digging into her deepest reserves of charm, wit, and probably blackmail material to prove that not only does she belong in Palm Beach, but she might just be able to run it.
And it wouldn’t be Palm Beach without skeletons in every gilded closet. This season promises to unearth shocking secrets, untold truths, and a few (lightly felonious) surprises. As Maxine rebuilds her social standing, she’s also discovering what this town is really made of: lies, deception, and just the right amount of sparkle.
The Team Behind the Glam
Palm Royale is produced by Apple Studios and showrun by Abe Sylvia (George & Tammy, Dead to Me). Sylvia also writes and executive produces through Aunt Sylvia’s Moving Picture Company. Additional executive producers include:
- Laura Dern and Jayme Lemons for Jaywalker Pictures
- Kristen Wiig
- Katie O’Connell Marsh
With this level of talent both in front of and behind the camera, it’s no wonder Palm Royale is one of Apple TV+’s crown jewels.
Why You Should Be Watching
In a world oversaturated with dark dramas and gritty reboots, Palm Royale is a breath of fresh, sea-salt-scented air. It’s smart, stylish, and sneakily subversive, peeling back the manicured layers of society with humor and heart. Whether you’re here for the scandal, the satire, or just to see Kristen Wiig in her peak chaotic glory, season two promises to be must-watch TV.
So mark your calendars for November 12, 2025, because the gloves (and the white satin ones at that) are coming off.
