Roku is bringing even more live sports to its platform in 2025. This deal is part of Roku’s ongoing push into sports streaming, following recent agreements to stream Formula E, NBA G League, MLB Sunday Lead Off, and sports talk shows like GMFB: Overtime and The Rich Eisen Show.

As part of the partnership, Roku is launching an X Games TV FAST channel and creating an “X Games Zone” to offer fans a one-stop destination for X Games programming. This includes highlights, interviews, and archival content, all leading up to the live events.

Joe Franzetta, Roku’s Head of Sports, said, “The X Games and Roku are a perfect match. Our audience is young and passionate about sports and youth culture, and this partnership will bring the X Games to millions of viewers for free.”

Jeremy Bloom, CEO of X Games, shared his excitement: “This collaboration will help us expand the reach of X Games, bringing fans closer to the world’s best action sports athletes.”

The X Games Aspen will take place in Aspen, Colorado, from January 23 to 25, 2025, featuring top athletes in ski and snowboard events. More details on the summer X Games event will be announced soon.

About X Games Since 1995, X Games has been the premier action sports event, showcasing the best athletes in skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, and more, combined with music and fan experiences around the world.

A key factor in the X Games’ success was its ability to push the boundaries of both sport and entertainment, often featuring high-adrenaline performances and incredible stunts. It also embraced innovation, incorporating music, culture, and lifestyle elements to create a full experience for fans.

Today, the X Games remains a premier event in the world of extreme sports, celebrated for its daring athletes and its role in shaping the culture of action sports worldwide.

In addition to showcasing extreme sports, the X Games also introduced new disciplines and pushed the boundaries of competition. Over time, it became a platform for athletes to break world records, such as Tony Hawk’s iconic 900-degree spin in 1999. The event has also inspired spin-off events and media, further cementing its influence on extreme sports culture.

Roku has continued to innovate. Roku has been expanding to devices beyond its traditional streaming sticks and smart TVs. In 2021, Roku introduced the Roku Channel on mobile devices and offered users a wider selection of free and premium content. With a mix of ad-supported programming, original series, and movies, the Roku Channel is now a major player in the streaming landscape, growing its audience and content library year after year.

The Roku Channel is completely free to stream, with no need for a subscription or sign-up. Viewers can watch it on Roku devices and smart TVs.
