Reminiscence
Watch in Theaters and on HBO Max
Memory, all alone in the moonlight… (sorry, wrong movie but same sentiment!) In this sci-fi film, Hugh Jackman stars as a private investigator of the mind. Through cutting-edge technology, he’s able to help his clients access their lost memories. When he takes on a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson) a seemingly simple task grows into a dangerous obsession. The movie ultimately asks the question- how far would you be willing to go for someone you love?
The Chair
Watch on Netflix
The Pembroke University English department is going through a crisis more tragic than anything William Shakespeare could have dreamt up. It seems like cruel timing, then, that the university appoint their first female department chair to try to put out the fire. The series stars the incredible Sandra Oh who consistently knocks it out of the park with every role she takes on. This is one that we’re definitely gonna sit down for!
Nine Perfect Strangers
Watch on Hulu
Bummed about “The White Lotus” ending this past weekend and hankering for more? “Nine Perfect Strangers” may just fill that void. Based on the best-selling book by Liane Moriarty, this show tells the story of nine stressed-out city dwellers who arrive at a luxury health-and-wellness resort for ten days of relaxation and healing. With the resort’s eccentric director Masha (played by Nicole Kidman) looking over them, however, it turns out they may need to retreat from their retreat.
Bonus Picks:

As Lady Gaga once famously said in her song Babylon, “That’s gossip!” Sunday night marks the first part of this four-part docuseries about the history of American tabloids. Say what you will about tabloid rags and gossip columns, there is no debating the impact that they’ve ultimately had on our society as a whole.
PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE (Watch in Theaters and on HBO Max)
Okay, maybe the most important thing to know about this one is that Kim Kardashian voices a poodle. If you’re not a toddler and/or that news didn’t sell you- this one probably isn’t for you. But for kids who are fans of this franchise, this movie will certainly have their paws up!
