Can we get a Hallelujer?!? Madea is back and this time she’s graduated to Netflix! The latest story in Tyler Perry’s legendary franchise is centered around Madea’s great-grandson’s college graduation. Naturally, what should be a joyous occasion is threatened by family drama and hidden secrets. Perry has dropped a hint that part of that drama will revolve around an LGBT storyline and that the movie will have a message of inclusion. Regardless of the family drama, with Madea, you KNOW you can also expect plenty of laughs! And, hey, couldn’t we all use some laughter right about now?

Okay, full disclosure- Solange and Destiny’s Child are sadly no longer on the theme song… but that doesn’t mean that The Proud Family returning to television is still not cause for celebration! This continuation of the original series follows the adventures of a 14-year-old Penny Proud and the rest of her family as they navigate life in 2022. We’re talking about social media, social movements, same-sex parents, and more! Tune in for the nostalgia factor or introduce this one to the kids! (Just be sure to then play them the original theme song!)
LAW & ORDER

Dun-dun. The procedural that started it all is back! 12 years after the original run ended, Law & Order has returned to NBC. Producers of the show have stated that while the series will have changed slightly to address the new world in which we now live, the spirit of the show is still very much the same. Both Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson are reprising their roles from the original series and will be joined by Camryn Manheim, Jeffrey Donovan, and Hugh Dancy.

This documentary brings the words of one of our country’s most famous anti-slavery activists to life. Assisting in this duty are actors Jeffrey Wright, Nicole Beharie, Colman Domingo, Jonathan Majors, Denzel Whitaker, and André Holland who all perform excerpts from some of Douglass’ speeches. Hearing these powerful speeches delivered by such talented actors is a wonderful way to wrap up Black History Month.

Clanging swords, bearded warriors… who could ask for anything more? This follow-up series to “Vikings” is set 100 years afterward and follows Leif Erikson’s journey as he becomes the first European to set foot on North America.
2022 N.A.A.C.P. IMAGE AWARDS (Watch Saturday Night at 8 PM on BET)
The NAACP Image Awards recognize outstanding achievements from people of color in movies, television, music, and literature. This year’s ceremony will feature a performance from Mary J. Blige and presenters include Issa Rae, Kerry Washington, LL Cool J, Michael Strahan, Morgan Freeman, Tiffany Haddish, Zendaya, and more.
SUPER PUMPED: THE BATTLE FOR UBER (Watch on Showtime)
This limited series from the creators of “Billions” tells the story of the rise of Uber as a company and the eventual fall of its CEO, Travis Kalanick. The cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, Hank Azaria as Tim Cook, Uma Thurman as Ariana Huffington, and Quentin Tarantino as the show’s narrator. Needless to say, it’s going to have to be a pretty awful ride for our rating to drop below 5 stars.
