After using these powers for revenge, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam.  After 5,000 years Black Adam is freed,  and his unique form of justice, now considered unorthodox to say the least, is challenged by modern-day heroes. Dwayne Johnson is finally serving superhero realness and it looks good on him!

A divorced couple (Julia Roberts and George Clooney) team up and travels to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago. This an iconic return to the big screen for this duo who have worked together on six feature films since the early 2000s and have not been seen on screen together since 2016’s Money Monster.

The School for Good and Evil

Based on the 2013 novel by the same name, this enchanting film follows best friends Sophie and Agatha as they find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle when they’re swept away into an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between Good and Evil. Starring heavy hitters Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Michelle Yeoh, and High School Musical: The Musical’s Sofia Wylie, The School for Good and Evil leaps from the page and onto living room screens on Netflix this week.

American Horror Story: NYC (Watch on FX and stream on Hulu)

The eleventh season of this famed  Ryan Murphy series will take place in The Big Apple and follow one horrific tale over multiple timelines, leading a doctor to make a startling discovery, and a local reporter to become tomorrow’s gruesome headline.

The Hair Tales (Watch on OWN and stream Hulu)

The Hair Tales is a documentary-style film about Black women, beauty, and identity through the distinctive lens of Black hair. It takes its viewers through a revelational journey, connecting the personal stories of phenomenal Black women (such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Oprah Winfrey) to broader societal and historic themes.

Acapulco: Season 2 (Watch on Apple TV+)

The series follows 20-something Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon), who earns his dream job as a cabana boy at the hottest resort in Acapulco, Las Colinas. In season two, Máximo has to deal with upheaval at the resort, unexpected problems at home, and a new love interest who just might rival the girl of his dreams.

The Peripheral: Series Premiere (Watch on Prime Video)

The Peripheral centers around Flynne Fisher, her veteran brother Burton, and their dying mother.  As their mother’s health deteriorates and the medical bills add up, Flynne and Burton make extra money playing simulations, also known as Sims. When offered to beta test a new Sim,  Flynne accepts in her brother’s place and is tasked with breaking into a corporation known as the Research Institute to steal a valuable secret. When the assignment goes badly wrong, Flynne begins to realize the Sim is more real than she ever could have imagined.

The Vow: Pt. 2 (Watch on HBO Max)

The Vow is a true crime documentary series that revolves around the cult NXIVM and its leader Keith Raniere. The NXIVM documentary series premiered in 2020 on HBO. In part two, viewers get a rare view into Raniere’s innermost circle, including NXIVM co-founder Nancy Salzman. It follows the legal and emotional journeys of the group’s founders, supporters, and deserters as new evidence comes to light, while federal prosecutors and defense attorneys undertake a trial in the national spotlight.

Saturday Night Live compatriots Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, and Seth Meyers serve as creators, executive producers, and writers of this IFC original series, fusing their love of documentary films and comedy to present a unique take on the form.
